BCN Drone Center and CTTC are collaborating to develop the AeroWatch platform. AeroWatch aims to be a collaborative hub, bringing together technology companies from various fields of expertise to deliver innovative autonomous solutions for first responders in emergency management.
This collaboration was initiated following the completion of the IOPES project in 2022. The IOPES project integrated wearable positioning technologies, portable LTE/5G communications systems, a robust IT-based emergency management platform, and rapid mapping tools. These technologies enable real-time tracking of emergency team members, both indoors and outdoors, enhancing the preparedness of civil protection and emergency teams involved in various disaster-related operations.
AeroWatch was conceived as a natural continuation of this collaboration, with the goal of developing innovative solutions for emergency response.
